Spinning 101: The Park & Draft
Yarn is not as mysterious as we were led to believe.
Turns out, you can make it yourself.
We’ll show you how.
In Spinning 101, you’ll learn the basics of drop spinning using the park & draft method — a simple, approachable technique that’s been used for centuries. This beginner-friendly class is designed for knitters, crocheters, and fiber-curious folks who want to understand how yarn is made and try making their own.
In just two hours, you’ll spin your first yarn and build a solid foundation to keep practicing at home. Expect a calm, welcoming environment, hands-on guidance, and absolutely no pressure to be perfect. Slightly lumpy yarn is part of the learning process — and part of the fun.
What’s included
- Drop spindle to take home
- Wool to spin — plus extra for later
